Wessex Children's Services

I formed Wessex Children's Services out of gratitude and in response to my personal experience of parenting my own child who, from birth, displayed challenging behavioural difficulties. Through discovering homeopathy and aggravating food intolerances our lives were transformed beyond recognition and she is now a very healthy and happy adult.

Through conversation, homeopathy, allergy therapy and parenting advice Wessex Children's Services brings hope, treatment, education and support to children and their families whose lives are limited by their own behaviour, enabling them to live a full life and realise their own highest potential, whatever that may be.

Wessex Children's Services treats children whose behaviour has become difficult for their families to manage. The difficulty may be a diagnosed condition such as Autism, Aspergers, ADHD etc or it may be that the child has become violent, disruptive or is displaying criminal tendencies. For some children the difficulty may not be so apparent in that they may have become withdrawn, phobic, compulsive or unusually fearful. Whatever the case, the life of the child will be compromised and limited in some way.

Behavioural difficulties can manifest from a variety of causes such as the above mentioned medical conditions, or from grief, loss, separation, fear, fright, abuse or neglect, long term illness etc. The difficulties are unique and varied so please call or email for more information on how we can help you.

The Treatment

Through conversation with the child and his/her parent/carer we will trace a detailed case history, begin to uncover the origins of the behavioural difficulty and devise a specific, individual treatment programme. The treatment will always be gentle and safe and by never using powerful drugs there will be no risk of harmful side effects.

Treatment is focused on four main areas: Conversation, a course of homoeopathic treatment, specific dietary recommendations relating to food intolerances and advice and support in positive parenting strategies.

For many children Wessex Children's Services may be a last resort and by the time they come for treatment they may well be taking conventional medicines. This doesn’t cause a problem as homoeopathic remedies can be taken alongside these other treatments. It is hoped that in time and under the guidance of the child’s doctor that some if not all of these may be eliminated.

Our Commitment is to provide a high level of care, support, education and advice to you and your child.

It is important to view the treatment programme as an on going process, something that will support your child’s recovery and development, rather than a one off miracle cure. It will take time and patience but in most cases this will pay off and the result will be a steady and permanent restoration to happiness and health. We recomend 6 consultations at monthly intervals as the first phase of treatment, after which we will, with you, re asses your child's progress and future needs.

Fees: First consultation which will last one and a half hours will cost £70. Follow up's of 30 minutes £35. All telephone/email support is free of charge.

If you have real financial difficulties please let us know - we aim to offer concessions where we can - please don't miss appointments through lack of money - your child's health is much more important than numbers!

Your commitment involves:

•    Regular attendance at treatment sessions
•    Telephone or email updates as appropriate or as requested
•    Strictly adhering to dietary advice & recommendations
•    Keeping a behaviour diary
•    Family commitment to following the behavioural support strategies identified which may involve changes to family activities and routines
